How to Lose Weight in Summer

It seems it's natural to want to lose weight in summer, after all, that's when you want to look your best, right? For some, it is entirely too easy to lose weight, whether it be summer or winter, while others, like me, tend to battle weight gain as a constant enemy. Regardless of what side of the battle you're on, these 8 Easy Ways to Lose Weight in Summer are sure to work for you!

1. Listen to Your Body

I don't know about you, but during the summer, when it's super hot, I tend to naturally have less of an appetite. I have known people who shared that lack of appetite, and still feel the need to force themselves to eat full meals and stuff themselves. Your body is an amazing invention, and has the ability to know what it needs and doesn't need. Naturally, in the winter, our bodies want us to put on a little weight in order to keep warm, but in the heat of the summer, it knows that weight gain isn't necessary, and shifts into a weight loss mode, so to speak. If you follow your body's natural urges, you may find weight loss easier for you.

2. Hike

For the most part, those who vacation in the mountains find that it's much cooler in the summer, and thus makes for great hiking days, even in summer months. Even on summer vacation, you can lose weight, all the while enjoying the stress-relief of the mountain outdoors. Take a hike and walk the weight right off! Not only is walking and hiking a great exercise, sweating is great for your health as well. 30 minutes of moderate hiking will also burn you approximately 190 calories, and that doesn't count the extra climbing in mountain hiking!

3.Choose the Right Diet Supplement

Are you still hard to lose weight? You should try to be more effective. While you exercise, you use Fruta Planta, maybe you will get more than you expected results. Weight loss is no longer a difficult task, you can easily achieve your goals. Fruta Planta is a natural weight loss drug.

4. Walking the Beach

There is no place better to lose weight in summer than at a beautiful beach! I find the beach to be so incredibly soothing that I simply want to live there and never leave. However, if you've ever walking in sand before, you know the extra workout you get by a simple stroll. In fact, you will burn more calories walking in sand that you will walking and jogging on the road, since your muscles are working harder with every step. But the benefits don't end here. You will also find that walking in sand is easier on your joints since it's soft. Next time your beach walking, alternate between the soft, deep sand and the hard packed sand closer to the water for a full joint-easy workout.

5. Swim

Swimming is one of the most rewarding ways to exercise and lose weight in summer. On a hot day, there is nothing better than to take a dive into swimming pool and swim the day away. On an average, a person of 140 pounds can burn approximately 190 calories in 30 minutes of moderate swimming, and who can stay in a cool pool on a hot day for just 30 minutes?

Losing weight in summer doesn't have to be something to dread. In fact, using these 8 Easy Ways to Lose Weight in Summer, you will have having so much fun you won't even realize you're actually losing weight ! This time of year always goes by so fast.

Known for her petite frame and muscular physique, Hayden Panettiere has long been admired for her amazing body. And being a vegetarian, this is even more impressive.

This time of year always goes by so fast.

The colors are changing, and pretty soon we’ll see little trick-or-treaters at our doors, soon to be followed by us all giving thanks and sitting around the fireplace with our families for the holidays.

Before we know it, it will be the New Year.

Have you had a chance to think about what you’d like 2013 to look like?

Instead of blindly throwing out New Year’s Resolutions on January 1st, let’s take some time to think about what it is we  really want. Do you know what it is you really want?

Over the next 8-12 weeks or so, get yourself really prepared to take action once the New Year rolls around. Sustainable action is possible when you’ve laid the foundation.

So, if you’re constantly frustrated year after year because your resolutions never work out – Now is your chance to change the pattern.
2013 New Years Resolution picture

Are you ready for a new you? What do you want to change this year?
Create a Vision

It begins with mindset.

Here are a few steps to clarify your vision:

Pretend tonight is New Year’s Eve and your best friend asks you what your New Year’s Resolution is – What would you say?

Think about why this is important to you.
Notice any obstacles or  excuses that come up. Acknowledge them, write them down, or let them go. Design action triggers to blast through them when the time comes.
Then check in with yourself again. If absolutely anything were possible, what would you do?

Be honest and give yourself permission to think beyond your current limits.

Do You Knwo The Ketogenic Diet for Epilepsy

Many people haven’t ever heard of a ketogenic diet for epilepsy and until ten years ago, neither had I. So what is a ketogenic diet? A ketogenic diet is a low-carb diet that is used to treat epilepsy by changing the way the body and brain access fuel. By depleting carbohydrate stores in the body, the brain begins to run off fat for fuel instead of glucose, which is normally just recycled over and over again in the blood. Too much sugar (glucose) in the blood can lead to diabetes, heart disease, weight gain, and yes- even trigger epilepsy. It’s not known whether epilepsy is directly caused by glycemic rise, but a ketogenic diet for epilepsy has been proven to be not only effective, but curative with no medication. I’m not here to say if it’s the right approach for you, but it did work incredibly well for me. Let’s take a look at these facts about a ketogenic diet for epilepsy if you’re considering the approach yourself.
1. It’s High Fat

The ketogenic diet for epilepsy is very high in fat because in order to work, the brain needs enough fat to use as fuel. Fats should come from healthy foods like fish, coconut oil, walnuts, macadamia nuts, ghee (clarified butter), pastured eggs, olive oil, avocado, and coconut meat.

2. It’s Backed by Science

The ketogenic diet has been backed by multiple scientific studies, with some of my favorites being from John Hopkins University. Science shows  that not only do patients become seizure-free, but can also transition into eating healthy complex carbs after seizures disappear.

3. It’s Safe for Adults

Traditionally the ketogenic diet was designed for children. However, it’s also been proven to be completely safe for adults since it includes plenty of calories and has no calorie limitations.

4. Protein Packed

The ketogenic diet is much like the Modified Atkins Diet (MAD), therefore it is protein-packed. Lean sources of protein are included liberally to support the muscles, brain, and energy levels.

5. It Includes Veggies

Veggies are an important part of any diet, including the ketogenic diet. I approached the diet to cure a past seizure disorder and was able to eat all the non-starchy veggies and leafy greens I wanted. You can too, whether you're on this diet or not!

6. It Helps Focus

One of the main reasons the ketogenic diet is so successful in treating epilepsy is because it changes the way the brain functions. It improves attention span and focus because the brain runs off fat (which it is made of) instead of glucose.

7. It Works

If the body is truly in ketosis and burning fat for fuel instead of glucose, it can quickly treat epilepsy as long as there are no slip-ups in the diet. This means  no sugar, fruit, starchy carbs, sodas, grains, natural sugars, starchy veggies, or processed foods of any kind.

Remember not to approach a ketogenic diet if you don’t have a seizure condition or don’t need to lose a lot of weight. It is a very difficult diet to transition to and should only be used when truly needed. You should always do your research and talk with someone you trust about this issue, or be under a doctor’s care.
